In 2013, Complement UK initiated a programme of industry-funded, cross-centre PhD studentships, further aiming to link compatible research programmes and increase the number of trainees. Through an exciting joint venture between Complement UK and , five 4-year PhD studentships were funded.
Past studentship recipients include: Dr Alexandra Philips, currently Programme Manager - Translation at Medical Research Council; Dr Matthew Stott, Technology Transfer Project Officer at Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd; Dr Amy Osborne, Currently Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Bristol; Dr Thomas Hallam, Catalyst Biosciences Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne; Dr Dimitrios Stampoulis, Senior Research Associate Preclinical Ophthalmology at Gyroscope Therapeutics, and Dr Mark Howard, Research Associate at King's College London.
